ArmInfo. The international Sevan Agritech Summit 2025 has kicked off in the festival city of Sevan, located near the settlement of Daranak in the Gegharkunik region, and will last until July 26.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the event organizers, the Sevan Agritech Summit is being held within the framework of the Sevan Startup Summit 2025. The goal of the event is to promote the introduction of digital and innovative technologies in the agriculture of Armenia, as well as the development of interaction between the participants of the agrotechnological ecosystem and entrepreneurship in this field. Over the course of three days, experts from ten countries will share their experience, discuss current trends and prospects for the development of the agricultural sector, and identify problems and opportunities for the application of agricultural technologies in Armenia. More than 300 representatives from Armenia and abroad are expected to participate, including entrepreneurs, investors, as well as specialists from international research institutes and private companies.
"This regional gathering will bring together agritech startups, farmers, and stakeholders, providing a unique platform to learn about the latest research, share best practices, and develop innovative solutions for agricultural development. The conference will focus on innovations in agritech, green technologies, and circular bioeconomy and will include five thematic sessions," the press service noted.
The topics to be discussed include the introduction of agrifinance technologies in Armenia, digital banking and insurance for a sustainable agricultural sector, creating startups in small markets with global ambitions, building a high-tech future based on personal experience, and much more.
According to the source, the event is organized with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Armenian Institute of Digital Agriculture (AI4DA) Foundation, and the Startup Armenia Foundation, in collaboration with Acba Bank, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Food Program (WFP), and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
