Ardshinbank, Ameriabank among Armenia`s top five largest taxpayers

ArmInfo. According to the results of the first half of 2025, two banks entered the TOP-5 list of 1000 large taxpayers of Armenia - Ardshinbank and Ameriabank, having paid 28 billion and 21.4 billion drams to the state treasury, respectively.

Moreover, Ardshinbank increased its budget payments by 4.8 times  year-on-year, and Ameriabank - by 22.3%, which allowed the former to  rise from 21st to 4th position, and the latter - from 6th to 5th.  This is evidenced by the published data of the State Revenue  Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Ardshinbank and Ameriabank account for 35% of the top five. Of the  transfers made by Ardshinbank to the budget, 22.3 billion drams were  paid in profit tax and 4.4 billion drams in income tax, while  Ameriabank paid 12.4 billion drams in profit tax and 8 billion drams  in income tax.

This time, Mobile Center Art topped the list of large taxpayers in  Armenia (versus 2nd place a year earlier), having paid 32.9 billion  drams to the state budget (with an annual growth of 2%), of which  30.3 billion was VAT.

Canadian company Grand Tobacco moved up from 4th to 2nd position,  having sent 30.5 billion drams to the state budget (an annual growth  of 29.2%), of which 19.7 billion drams were excise tax and 7.4  billion drams were VAT.

Gazprom Armenia held on to 3rd place, having paid 28.04 billion drams  to the state treasury (annual growth of 1.4%), of which 24.5 billion  drams were VAT.

Such rotation among the top five, taking into account the two banks  included in this composition, pushed out of it the Zangezur Copper  and Molybdenum Plant (ZCMP), which meanwhile a year ago headed the  list of large taxpayers of Armenia, and now, having reduced payments  to the state treasury several times, found itself in 6th place.

The top five paid a total of 140.8 billion drams in taxes to the  budget, which is 15% lower than the figure for the previous year. In  particular, 62.9 billion drams were paid for VAT (an annual decline  of 7%) and 38.1 billion drams for income tax (an annual growth of  38.5%). Moreover, the main increase in payments to the state treasury  for income tax from the top five was provided by Ardshinbank and  Ameriabank. In total, 1,000 major taxpayers in Armenia increased  payments to the state treasury by 10% per annum in the first half of  2025, providing a volume of 986.1 billion drams.

According to the results of the first half of 2024, the TOP-5  included the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Plant (ZCMK), Mobile  Center Art, Gazprom Armenia CJSC, Grand Tobacco and Pretty Way LLC  (Vesta electrical and household appliances store). The top five then  paid a total of 900.4 billion drams in taxes to the budget, which was  only 3% higher than the figure for the previous year.
