Economy Minister: "Trump Route" has not only economic but also  security significance for Armenia

ArmInfo.   (TRIPP - Trump International Route of Peace and Prosperity) will provide security guarantees in addition to economic benefits, as stated by  Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan in an interview with Public  Television of Armenia.

Considering that this route will provide a connection between Asia  and Europe through the South Caucasus, the minister clarified that in  the event of a conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, for example,  China and European countries, which exchange millions of cargo, will  be directly involved and interested in a quick resolution of the  situation, as their economic interests are at stake. , he emphasized, noting that the launch of this  road will be another factor in ensuring security.

When asked about who will be involved in the implementation of the  TRIPP project, the minister noted that American companies will  participate in the construction of roads, including railway  communication and infrastructure. The latte group, according to him,  should make a familiarization visit to Armenia in the near future.   Papoyan also noted that the government encourages foreign investment  from different countries as long as their projects do not contradict  the legislation of Armenia.

He pointed out that 94 companies were opened in Armenia from 2000 to  2025, either by Turkish citizens or with Turkish capital. Most of  them, as the head of the department noted, were opened during the  rule of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan. ,   the Minister of Economy noted.
