
ArmInfo. During a meeting with Farzaneh Sadeghi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, David Khudatyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, stated that Iran is an important partner for Armenia.
The Iranian official has arrived in Yerevan as part of President of the IRI Masoud Pezeshkian' delegation, who is on an official visit to Armenian capital. At the beginning of the meeting, the minister expressed gratitude to the Iranian side for their support following the floods in the Lori and Tavush regions last year, and for providing metal bridges to Armenia. Discussions then focused on the progress of road construction carried out on the 32-kilometer Kajaran-Agarak section of the North-South transport corridor. Khudatyan noted that the pace of work is satisfactory, and the Armenian side highly appreciates the efforts of the construction company.
The possibility of revising the tariff policy for transit cargo transportation was touched upon. An agreement was reached to establish a working group to resolve the issue promptly. Issues related to the aviation sector were also discussed. The Armenian official emphasized the importance of expanding regular air traffic with different cities in Iran, highlighting the demand for air route to Iran.
