ArmInfo. Rosselkhoznadzor reported that from August 22 to 24, 146 vehicles with quarantine products arrived in Russia from Armenia, but 21 of them were sent back. This information contradicts the statements made by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor's press service, that the vehicles were denied entry due to non-compliance with Russian phytosanitary requirements for quarantine products imports. Late last week, Garnik Danielyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the opposition faction "Armenia", reported on his Facebook page that numerous trucks with Armenian trailers heading to Russia were denied entry at the "Upper Lars" border checkpoint. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan called Danielyan's claims false. "In August, 762 trucks with Armenian vegetables and fruits entered the Russian Federation, with only 4 trucks that had returned from Georgia being denied entry. Dear Garnik, lying is bad," Papoyan wrote.
