ArmInfo. In January-July 2025, Armenia exported 103, 260 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, compared to 92, 838 tons during the same period of the previous year, as announced by the RA Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, during a government meeting on August 28.
The Minister clarified that during the reporting period, the export of fresh fruits and vegetables increased by 11.2 tons, compared to the same period of the previous year. Despite issues in June-July, flower exports increased by about 10% (from 49.1 to 53.5 million pieces), apricots by more than 25% (from 33.4 to 44.2 thousand tons), cherries by more than 90% (from 2.3 to 4.3 thousand tons), and peaches by more than 60% (from 3.9 to 6.3 thousand tons).
According to the Minister, in the first half of 2025, the volume of agriculture increased by 7.3% compared with the same period last year, with crop production up by 13.4% and livestock - by 3%. "This is the highest figure in recent years," Papoyan noted.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, recalled that agricultural growth was very low or even negative in 2018-2020, but now, finally, there is an acceleration.
