ArmInfo. Unblocking the South Caucasus is a puzzle consisting of a large number of pieces. This was stated in an interview with RIA Novosti by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk on the sidelines of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.
In this regard, he emphasized that this puzzle contains political aspects related to the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, issues of delimitation and demarcation of the state border between them. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the issues of organizing and conducting all types of control that occur when crossing the state border, problems of human safety, problems of loading this road, environmental and climate issues, economic issues and the interests of neighboring countries.
"Finally, there are the interests of the Russian Federation related to the railway concession, as well as the presence of Russian border guards directly in the Meghri section. There are a lot of different questions, they are mostly technical in nature, but the final result depends on them," Overchuk summed up.
According to the source, this year's EEF was held on the theme: "The Far East - cooperation for peace and prosperity."
