ArmInfo. Armenia and the US are discussing the establishment of a cyber lab, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
According to the source, this topic was on the agenda during the meeting between Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, and a delegation led by Brendan Hanrahan, Senior Official for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the US Department of State.
Arpine Sargsyan also discussed effective bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of combating organized crime, cybercrime and illegal migration, as well as supporting police reforms. In this regard, the process of discussing the creation of a cyber lab was highlighted.
The parties also addressed issues related to the Trump Path to International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, which is based on principles that aim to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia.
Sargsyan emphasized the importance of initialing the US-brokered peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8, noting the significant role of the US in establishing peace. The signing of three memorandums of understanding between Armenia and the US, which open up new opportunities for cooperation, was also highly valued.
Hanrahan commended the close partnership between Armenia and the US and stressed the importance of cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, expressing readiness to continue working together.
