ArmInfo. Artificial intelligence is not the future, it's already the present, transforming industry, agriculture, healthcare, the financial system, and even decision-making culture. This was stated on October 14 by Eduard Musaelyan, Executive Director of the Union of Employers in the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) sector, at the Silicon Mountains 2025 forum, "Anatomy of AI."
According to him, the current forum is the ninth, two of which were held in the country's regions. Over the years, Musaelyan noted, the forum has become one of Armenia's key technology platforms, uniting technology leaders, government agencies, international partners, the private sector, and educational institutions with a common goal: creating a smart country. "We want to inspire young people, show them Armenia's technological past, the true heroes of the industry, the people who spent years building our technological foundations and funding its development," Musaelyan said. He emphasized that this year's main theme is "The Anatomy of Artificial Intelligence." But, like any technological revolution, AI brings new challenges-data privacy, ethics, and the transformation of the labor market.
"We must be prepared for these changes. Technology should serve people, not the other way around. Over the past year, we launched a unique project-STEM AI-teaching artificial intelligence in high schools," Musaelyan said, adding that the program will be running in 15 schools in Armenia starting in October 2024. He said the program is being implemented by the Union of ICT Employers, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Synopsys Armenia, and the Armenian-American College (UATC).
