Armenia and Iran expressed their willingness to develop cooperation  in tourism

ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Hakobyan met with Mehdi Mazinani, Deputy Secretary for Culture, Social Affairs, and Tourism at the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones of Iran.

According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Iran, the  importance of free economic zones as a factor in regional cooperation  and the development of sustainable tourism was emphasized during the  meeting. The parties expressed their willingness to further develop  cooperation in the aforementioned areas.

It is worth noting that, according to the Tourism Committee, Iranian  tourists rank third in the number of visits to Armenia, accounting  for 8% of the total.
