
ArmInfo. In the first eight months of this year, exports from Armenia to Germany increased by more than 77%, reaching $71.4 million, while in the same period last year, they totaled $40.4 million. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan shared this information on his Facebook page, while in Germany to attend a meeting of the Armenian-German intergovernmental commission.
He also emphasized that the total exports in the first eight months exceeded the entire amount for 2024. "This is important in terms of ensuring the diversification of the Armenian economy," the Minister of Economy said. He also announced that he would soon hold a meeting with over 40 German entrepreneurs to present Armenia's investment and economic opportunities. A meeting with German Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer will also take place today. "And starting tomorrow, meetings of the Armenian-German intergovernmental commission will begin, which I will chair on the Armenian side," Papoyan noted.
Note that, according to the RA Statistics Committee, trade turnover between Armenia and Germany decreased by 5.3% in January-August 2025, reaching $297.3 million. Exports, however, increased by 77.4% to $71.4 million, while imports declined by 17.4% to $226 million.
