ArmInfo. A meeting of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Council will be held in Yerevan. Preparations for the upcoming event were discussed at a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.
According to the government press service, during the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister was presented with a number of agenda items, including work being carried out to implement the mining strategy and improve the efficiency and transparency of sector governance, as well as improving the implementation of the EITI Standard. A number of issues raised by the multi-stakeholder group's civil society group were also discussed, leading to constructive discussions.
