Armenians among top 3 visitors to Georgia

ArmInfo. Armenian tourists are among the top three in terms of number of visits to Georgia, according to data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia  (Sakstat) for the third quarter.

According to statistics, 3 million international non-residents  arrived in the country in the third quarter, an increase of 6.6%  compared to the same period last year. Travelers aged 31 to 50  accounted for the largest share of these visitors, accounting for  40.7%. Of the total number of visits, 2.5 million were made by  international visitors, also a 6.8% increase compared to the 2024  figure. The total number of international tourists reached 2.2  million (+7.6%), while the number of tourist trips reached 2.0  million, an increase of 9.0% compared to the same period last year.

The main source countries for tourists were Russia (26.1%), Turkey  (16.5%), and Armenia (11.8%). The most visited regions were Tbilisi  (1,306,300 visits) and Adjara (1,274,400 visits). The average length  of stay was 6.3 nights, up 2.1% from last year (6.2 nights). Of  these, 73.3% were repeat visits, Georgia-Online reports.
