Armenia, EU strengthen cooperation in energy, transport, and road  safety

ArmInfo.  Kristine Ghalechyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and  Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, received a delegation led  by Audron Perkauskine, Deputy Managing Director for Eastern Europe  and Central Asia at the EU External Action Service, and Adrian  Kiraly, Director for Neighborhood East and Turkey at the European  Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern  Partnership.

The parties exchanged views on current and planned programs between  Armenia and the European Union in the energy and transport sectors,  emphasizing the importance of implementing a joint agenda and  projects.

They discussed technical assistance in the energy sector, as well as  a number of areas of cooperation in the transport sector: improving  road safety, implementing reforms, and collaborating within the  framework of the Crossroads of Peace initiative. During the meeting,  the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue effective  dialogue and deepening cooperation in various areas.
