
ArmInfo. The EU is ready to assist Armenia in the formation and development of a sustainable digital economy. This was stated by Adrian Kiraly, Director for Neighborhood East and Turkey at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, during a meeting with Gevorg Mantashyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed possible avenues for developing cooperation in the areas of cybersecurity and digitalization. Gevorg Mantashyan praised the effective cooperation with the European Union, particularly noting the joint programs being implemented to develop cybersecurity and digital infrastructure. He stated that Armenia is ready to more actively participate in these initiatives, contributing to the implementation of joint reforms and innovative development. At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing partnerships and deepening cooperation in the technology sector within the framework of the current EU4Innovation, EU4Digital, and other joint initiatives.
