Tashir Capital resubmitted its application for  reduction in  electricity tariffs

ArmInfo.  An application from Tashir Capital, the owner of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, has been submitted to the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), to reduce the electricity tariff. Marianna Kagramanyan, press secretary of the "In Our Way" movement, shared this information on  social media. Earlier, Tashir Capital CEO Narek Karapetyan announced  on social media that it there is a possibility to reduce the tariff  for residents by 3 drams.

She noted that the owners of Electric Networks submitted a similar  application to the PSRC back in June (before the nationalization  process began - ed.). "Now, as they say, the ball is on the  Commission's field.  The necessary resources are available for this -  electricity tariffs can be reduced for the population. This issue is  extremely important, especially given the approaching heating  season," Kagramanyan stated.

A representative of the "In Our Way" movement urged everyone to join  the flash mob with the hashtag #ReduceTariff and notify the public of  this possibility, and demand  the PSRC " to take steps in the  interests of consumers."

In turn, Vardan Aloyan, lawyer for Tashir Capital Group,  told  reporters that the PSRC had previously rejected the application,  citing that the calculation was based on a six-month period, and  there was a risk that it could have the opposite effect - the annual  savings could be negative, which would, conversely, necessitate a  tariff increase. "We've now submitted another application, presenting  a calculation for almost a year, based on the fact that the amount  already exceeds 6 billion drams. We've once again requested that the  tariff be reviewed and reduced," Aloyan stated.  According to him,  it's important that the application has been submitted on behalf of  several parties at once, so that the Commission can't refuse  consideration on technical grounds. This includes Karen Harutyunyan,  CEO of Electric Networks of Armenia, Tashir Capital, a shareholder,  and  the company's Board of Directors.
