ArmInfo. Armenia has made it into the top 10 most popular destinations for Russian tourists based on the results of the first nine months of 2025, as reported by RIA Novosti, citing data from the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System (EMISS).
According to EMISS, during the reporting period 806,000 Russian tourists visited Armenia, thus ranking our country in ninth place among popular destinations. Following Armenia is Uzbekistan with 513,000 tourists.
However, half of all trips made by Russian citizens abroad in January-September of this year were to Turkey, Abkhazia, and Kazakhstan. China, the UAE, Egypt, Georgia, and Thailand are next on the list, according to the source. It should be noted that, according to the Statistics Committee, 713,479 tourists from the Russian Federation visited Armenia in the first 9 months of 2025, which is 3.7% lower than the same period last year.
