
ArmInfo. Lusine Gevorgyan, Chair of the Tourism Committee of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, met with Omani Minister of Heritage and Tourism Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi.
The parties discussed opportunities for developing cooperation in tourism between Armenia and Oman and touched on the positive trends of recent years. In this regard, it was noted that citizens of both countries can visit each other visa-free, which contributes to the growth of tourism. The parties also emphasized the importance of launching direct flights to further increase tourism flow. Lusine Gevorgyan invited Minister Al Mahrouqi and representatives of the Omani private sector to participate in the International Tourism Exhibition, which will be held in Yerevan from November 21 to 23, as well as to the New Year's tree lighting ceremony on December 13.
According to the RA Statistics Committee, 1,467 tourists from Oman visited Armenia in January- September 2025, which is 23.2% lower than the same period last year.
