
ArmInfo. During his visit to the Republic of India, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with representatives of HBL India, a major engineering company. The Minister presented Armenia's investment environment and proposed exploring the possibility of establishing a joint venture to produce electric batteries in the country.
According to the Ministry of Economy's press service, the company has long held a leading position in developing innovative products and identifying effective solutions in strategic sectors.
HBL Engineering Ltd (formerly HBL Power Systems) is an Indian engineering company founded in 1977 and based in Hyderabad. It specializes in the development and production of high-tech batteries (lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion, etc.), as well as systems for aviation, railways, defense, and telecommunications. The company also manufactures railway electronics, including signaling systems, electronic ammunition fuses, and train collision avoidance systems.
HBL actively exports its products: it has representative offices in the US and EU, and its solutions are used in over 80 countries. Manufacturing quality is confirmed by international certifications (ISO, etc.).
