
ArmInfo. The official opening of the Armenian representative office of the Armenia-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFA) took place in Yerevan.
For over 30 years, CCIFA has served as a platform for economic dialogue and strategic cooperation between Armenia and France. The CCIFA's activities are aimed at facilitating the development of bilateral investment, promoting competitive industries, and strengthening a sustainable and long-term economic partnership between Armenia and France.
Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan attended the opening ceremony. He noted that the presence of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Armenia will open up new opportunities for attracting French capital, establishing joint ventures, and introducing Armenian-made products to the French and European markets.
The Minister expressed confidence that the CCIFA will become a platform for new ideas and initiatives for both Armenian and French companies. The event was also attended by French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decotigny, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Lilia Sirakanyan, and representatives of the business community and the diplomatic community.
According to the Statistics Committee, in January-September 2025, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and France increased by 43.1% year-on-year, reaching $162.4 million. Exports, however, decreased by 22.8% to $4.8 million, while imports increased by 47% to $157.6 million.
