Kazakh airlines ready to resume flights to Armenia, but subsidies  needed - Kazakh minister

ArmInfo.  Kazakh authorities are considering resuming direct flights with Armenia, but this is only possible if Armenia provides subsidies. Kazakh Minister of  National Economy Serik Zhumangarin stated this in a conversation with  journalists on November 21.

According to him, Kazakh airlines could launch direct flights, but  one important condition must be met.  The minister continued, service  at the Yerevan airport is very expensive: $65 per person, while a ton  of jet fuel costs $1,248. The official emphasized that subsidies are  necessary at these prices, and this issue is being discussed.

"Both SCAT and FlyArystan are ready to launch flights under these  conditions," Zhumangarin said.
