The introduction of cloud technologies in Armenia's public administration system is not just a technological advancement but also a strategic step aimed at ensuring digital security and accelerating digitalization, as stated by Gevorg Mantashyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, speaking at the Armenian Cloud Summit.
He noted that today it is necessary to learn to adapt to reality, and in some cases, shape this reality and build secure, scalable, and flexible infrastructures that will serve citizens and enhance national competitiveness, stimulating private investment.
The event also featured a panel discussion with the Deputy Minister on "Cloud Technologies: Stimulus for Digital Transformation and Private Investment." During the panel discussion, Mantashyan noted that cloud services enable greater efficiency in public administration by reducing costs and improving process dynamics. In this context, the First Deputy Minister emphasized that the goal of the RA Government's Cloud First policy is to accelerate the implementation of high-quality and effective digital solutions.
According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the conference covered various topics including Armenia's digital ambitions, global cloud solutions, procurement of cloud service, the relationship between cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence solutions, the role of cloud technologies in stimulating private investment, and more. The summit ended with the presentation of a roadmap for the digital transformation of public administration in Armenia, which summarized international experience and national strategic priorities.
The Armenian Cloud Summit was organized at the initiative of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the Information Systems Agency of Armenia, and the World Bank. The goal was to present international best practices and create a platform for public-private cooperation to effectively implement cloud technologies in public administration.
