ArmInfo. Ruben Simonyan, Deputy Minister of High- Tech Industry of Armenia, received a World Bank (WB) delegation led by Isabel Neto, Head of the WB's Digital Development Unit.
The parties discussed several issues related to continuing joint programs with the WB, as well as the possibilities of implementing and using communications and information infrastructure, digital platforms, and enhancing security to increase economic growth and productivity in the country.
Ruben Simonyan outlined the ministry's work and future plans in these areas. The Deputy Minister also highlighted digitalization and cybersecurity in both the public and private sectors, as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation with the World Bank in this area. Isabel Neto, in turn, emphasized the World Bank's readiness to consider opportunities for assistance in these areas to achieve better outcomes.
The parties plan to continue discussions to identify the most effective options for potential support.
