
ArmInfo. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan participated in the Global Zero Waste Forum in Istanbul, according to the Ministry of Economy's press service. The forum brought together around two dozen ministers responsible for agriculture, as well as other high-ranking officials and policymakers, with the goal of to promote the zero waste concept globally.
During the event, Papoyan reportedly held discussions with the agriculture ministers of Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Iraq.
It's worth noting that Zero Waste is a set of principles aimed at minimizing waste through the reuse of objects and things. The goal of Zero Waste is the conservation of all resources by means of responsible production, consumption, reuse, and recovery of products, packaging, and materials without burning and with no discharges to land, water, or air that threaten the environment or human health. This definition is provided by the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA).
