ArmInfo. During his working visit to Egypt, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Alaa Farouk.
The parties discussed the potential for cooperation in agriculture and agro-industrial complex, particularly investment opportunities aimed at expanding production capacity in Armenia's food and beverage sector using local raw materials and subsequent export to Egypt and third-country markets.
The development of agriculture in conditions of water scarcity and on rainfed lands was noted as another promising area of cooperation. Following the meeting, Minister Papoyan invited Alaa Farouk to participate in the Crossroads of Peace investment summit, scheduled for 2026.
