
ArmInfo. The Yerevan Municipality's 2026 budget envisages revenues of 151.4 billion drams, expenditures of 156.7 billion drams, and a deficit of 5.3 billion drams.
This was announced by Kristine Avetisyan, Head of the Yerevan Municipality's Finance Department, during a meeting of the Council of Elders on December 23.
She also noted that Yerevan's own revenues will reach 94.8 billion drams, an increase of 4.6 billion drams, or 5.2%, compared to 2025. The budget provides for subsidies of 8.2 billion drams, and subventions of 1.3 billion drams. A total of 46.9 billion drams will be allocated to fulfill the obligations delegated to the mayor. Avetisyan stated that the 2026 budget is 2.7 billion drams lower than the 2025 budget, due to a reduction in subsidies and funds allocated to the Yerevan mayor to fulfill his obligations.
Specifically, 2.6 billion drams will be allocated for road and infrastructure modernization, 1.6 billion drams for medium-term road repairs, 7.5 billion drams for the Isakov-Arshakunyants road construction project, 337 million drams for repairs to the Saralanj-Avetisyan-Papazyan intersection, and other projects. 965 million drams will be allocated for the improvement of the Kyiv Bridge and Lambada Bridge, and 477 million drams for the improvement of Amiryan Street sidewalks. To reform the transportation sector, she stated that Yerevan Buses, Yerevan Electric Transport, and Yerevan Metro will receive 20.8 billion drams, 1.7 billion drams, and 4.9 billion drams in subsidies, respectively. 2.5 billion drams will be allocated from the community budget for metro infrastructure modernization, and 2 billion drams for the construction program of the new Ajapnyak metro station.
In 2026, the draft budget will allocate 14.1 billion drams for environmental protection, of which 6.1 billion drams will be for sanitation and waste collection, 360 million drams for the purchase of 20 dust-cleaning machines, and 642 million drams for 12 multi-purpose dump trucks.
