ArmInfo.Premium gasoline imported from Azerbaijan will be sold in Armenia at 430 drams, which is approximately 90 drams lower than the price of the same grade gasoline sold domestically. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced this on his Facebook page, citing media reports.
Noting that some citizens refuse to buy Azerbaijani gasoline, the Minister of Economy remarked that everyone has the right to choose the gasoline they want at the price they want. "This is the state's task - to ensure a wide range of choices and uninterrupted routes so that goods arrive and are available in Armenia. The rest is up to each individual," Papoyan said.
It should be noted that, according to media reports, Azerbaijani gasoline will be sold in Armenia by Mega Trade and Shisha World. As a reminder, in accordance with the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, exports of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia have begun. Specifically, the first shipment included two railcars of AI-95 gasoline produced by SOCAR.
This agreement was reached at a meeting on November 28 in Gabala between Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. The export of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia is purely commercial.
