
ArmInfo.Recently, a new shipment of Russian grain has arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijan. RA Minister of Economy Gevork Papoyan shared this information on his Facebook page.
According to him, another 4,103 tons of wheat and 7,600 tons of Azerbaijani petroleum products are en route. "In 2025, a total of 6,580 tons of grain, including 1,000 tons from Kazakhstan and 5,580 tons from Russia, as well as 1,210 tons of Azerbaijani gasoline, were transported to Armenia by rail through Azerbaijan. As of January 8, 2026, 8,485 tons of Russian grain had been transported to Armenia by rail through Azerbaijan, with another 4,103 tons en route, as well as 7,600 tons of Azerbaijani petroleum products, including 6,100 tons of gasoline and 1,500 tons of diesel fuel. As previously stated, gasoline and diesel prices are expected to drop by 80 drams per liter from the previous month. I am pleased to announce that, following these developments, other companies selling petroleum products are also making efforts to lower prices," the Minister said.
Recall, on December 12, a train carrying petroleum products arrived in Armenia from Azerbaijan by rail.
