RA  Ministry of Territorial Administration: Armenia, Azerbaijan   conduct joint inspection of  Yeraskh- Sadarak railway section

Արմինֆո. Representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides conducted a joint inspection of the current infrastructure of the Yeraskh-Sadarak 
railway section on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on January 15, 
2026.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Territorial 
Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, the purpose of this 
inspection was to assess the technical suitability of the railway 
section for the movement of specialized railway construction 
equipment to implement comprehensive infrastructure restoration 
measures. "During the inspection, the parties exchanged views on  the 
technical condition of the railway infrastructure along the section," 
the ministry concluded. 

Recall, during a meeting with the Russian President, the Armenian 
Prime Minister asked the latter to consider the possibility of 
restoring  railway sections to the borders of Azerbaijan and Turkey, 
specifically the Yeraskh, Akhurik, and Ijevan sections.
