 Armenia and Uzbekistan outline possible areas for further cooperation  in agriculture

ArmInfo.  Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Arman Khojoyan met with Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher  Shukurov at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) in  Germany.

During the conversation, the parties addressed the need for efficient  use of water resources, emphasizing the importance of modern and  sustainable approaches to water management in the context of  increasing agricultural productivity, addressing climate challenges,  and ensuring long-term development.

In addition, they discussed a number of pressing issues related to  the agricultural sector and identified possible areas for further  cooperation.

According to the Statistical Committee, gross agricultural output in  Armenia increased by 5% in January- September 2025, reaching 686.5  billion drams. The GFFA Forum serves as a platform for discussing  global challenges in agriculture and food security, including  ensuring sustainable and affordable nutrition for all, developing  innovative approaches to agriculture, adapting to climate change, and  strengthening international cooperation in the agricultural sector.

GFFA brings together thousands of participants from around the world  - representatives of governments, international organizations,  businesses, academia, and civil society. The Forum includes plenary  discussions, expert panels, thematic sessions, and other events.
