Armenia and Egypt are considering the signing of a memorandum of cooperation to regulate labor mobility, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, citing the outcomes of a meeting between the head of the ministry, Arsen Torosyan, and the Egyptian Ambassador to Armenia, Amal Afifi. The discussions focused on several issues, including the protection of labor rights and procedures for entering the Armenian labor market.
Torosyan also touched upon the possibility of strengthening further cooperation with Egypt in social welfare to address the needs of children, the elderly, and women. He noted that both countries can implement joint programs, including in the context of deinstitutionalizing care services. Both parties concluded the meeting by reaffirming their commitment to developing new initiatives and strengthening the bilateral relationship in the field of social security.
