Armenia weapons exporter, says minister

ArmInfo.  Armenia has begun exporting weapons. Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced this on his Facebook page.

According to him, in May, three Armenian companies exported weapons  to two different countries. In this regard, the minister recalled  that he had previously reported in various public speeches and  interviews that several domestic manufacturers had received weapons  export permits.

"Overcoming complex logistical challenges, Armenian companies managed  to reach their destination. For the first time, they managed to  deliver finished products developed and manufactured in Armenia to  their end-user countries," the minister emphasized.

Hayrapetyan noted that this had been a dream and one of the strategic  priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. That's why,  as he further noted, the government has made multibillion-dollar  investments in the military industry in recent years, and will  continue to do so in the future. "This is the beginning of a new,  great journey," he concluded.
