
ArmInfo. The Armenian Ambassador to Albania, Tigran Mkrtchyan (resident in Athens), held a meeting with the Albanian Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Erlind Sulo, to discuss the potential for expanding Armenian-Albanian cooperation, with a particular focus on the energy sector.
According to the Armenian Embassy in Greece, Mkrtchyan presented the Armenian government's priorities for developing nuclear, hydroelectric, solar, and wind energy, emphasizing the critical role of energy security within the broader framework of the country's national security.
The Ambassador proposed initiating mutual visits between representatives of the relevant ministries of both countries to explore the possibility of establishing a formal legal and contractual basis for bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
In turn, Deputy Minister Sulo praised the existing potential for partnership and expressed his willingness to facilitate practical cooperation between the two countries. This includes organizing reciprocal visits, exchanging expertise, and implementing joint programs. Sulo also expressed his interest in visiting Armenia to further cultivate these partnerships.
