ArmInfo. RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with representatives of Al-Futtaim Group in Dubai to discuss cooperation opportunities leveraging the company's extensive international experience and professional potential.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, they discussed prospects for introducing the IKEA brand's production and sales capabilities in Armenia.

The parties then exchanged views on the prospects for implementing mutually beneficial investment initiatives and further developing cooperation.

During the meeting, Gevorg Papoyan presented Armenia's favorable investment and business environment, the country's competitive advantages, and its investment potential, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation with international partners and attracting new investment projects.

According to the source, Al-Futtaim Group is a company with over 90 years of history, whose activities span a number of key sectors: automotive, retail, real estate, financial services, healthcare, and Education.

The company operates in more than 20 countries and employs over 40,000 people. Its portfolio includes over 200 international and in-house brands.

Al-Futtaim Group operates IKEA stores in the Middle East (UAE, Egypt, Qatar, and Oman) under a franchise agreement.
