ArmInfo. Work on the Trump Route Project (TRIPP), according to the latest information, is scheduled to begin in the first months of 2027, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, according to Interfax.
"The main negotiations on TRIPP are being conducted between the United States and Armenia, and this is natural. At the same time, our American partners regularly inform Azerbaijan, as the project's implementation is impossible without our country's participation. According to the information we have received, the process is continuing successfully. Previously, the process was expected to begin by the end of this year, but according to the latest information, it is scheduled for 2027," Bayramov told reporters.
According to him, the TRIPP project is important not only for Azerbaijan and Armenia, but for the entire region. Bayramov added that Azerbaijan has already begun restoring railways in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He also confirmed that there are international partners interested in participating in the project to restore the autonomous republic's railways.
