Arminfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Nobel Prize laureate in economics and one of the world’s leading economists Abhijit Banerjee yesterday.
As reported by the government press service, the Prime Minister welcomed Banerjee’s visit to Armenia and emphasized the importance of cooperation in policy development, program impact assessment and other areas. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Government of the Republic of Armenia is implementing large-scale reforms covering all areas. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need for active dialogue and exchange of experience between various RA government bodies, the Central Bank and Abhijit Banerjee.
Abhijit Banerjee thanked him for the warm welcome and expressed readiness to expand cooperation with Armenian partners to promote reforms more effectively. The parties also exchanged views on further cooperation.
