Arminfo. In New York, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a working dinner with representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
As reported by the RA government press service, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President Koush Choks thanked the prime minister for his hospitality and noted that the Chamber’s members represent various sectors of the economy. He added that the purpose of the meeting was to learn about the development of Armenia’s economic sphere, investment opportunities, and business environment.
Prime Minister Pashinyan addressed trade and economic relations between Armenia and the United States and noted that significant changes had already taken place as a result of the documents signed during the meeting with President Trump on August 8 last year. In particular, the head of government mentioned the establishment in the country of two major artificial intelligence production plants. The prime minister expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to develop and strengthen in various areas.
In his remarks, the prime minister also addressed the issue of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the changes taking place in the region as a result of it, and the opportunities that are opening up. In particular, Nikol Pashinyan spoke about the implementation of the TRIPP project aimed at unblocking regional communication routes.
Nikol Pashinyan also presented information on the development of various sectors of Armenia’s economy, existing opportunities, as well as the reforms and programs being implemented by the government to consistently improve the business environment.
During the meeting, the prime minister answered questions of interest to businesspeople.
Following the meeting, the establishment of the Armenian-American Business Council was announced.
