ArmInfo. The Armenian government will finance the renovation of Tigran Petrosyan Street in the capital. Nearly 278 million drams will be allocated for this purpose, according to a Cabinet decision dated September 24.
The justification for the draft decision emphasizes that this amount will be allocated from funds saved during the implementation of other road modernization programs. In total, work will be carried out on an area of 51,175 square meters. As a result of surveys conducted by specialists from the Yerevan Municipality, large-scale potholes, cracks in the road network, and sediment were discovered on the specified section of Tigran Petrosyan Street. The last major or medium repairs on this street were carried out 15 or more years ago.
To address the above-mentioned issues, a contract for the construction of the project was signed on July 17, 2026, and a contract for the procurement of technical quality control services was signed on July 28, 2026, for a total of 277,800,000 drams.
As a result of the project's implementation, a 51,175 square meter section of Tigran Petrosyan Street will be properly repaired, and road surface deformations and damage will be eliminated, significantly improving traffic safety and comfort.
