ArmInfoArmenia's Deputy Ministers of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence, Gevorg Mantashyan and Tatev Aslanyan, received a delegation led by Ilona Ter-Minasyan, Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Office in Armenia.
According to the ministry's press service, the meeting focused on the development and modernization of Armenia's migration data management system, its compliance with European Union and other international standards, as well as the potential for applying modern technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in data management policy processes.
The participants discussed regulatory acts arising from the Armenian Law "On Public Information," as well as existing legal, institutional, and technical gaps in this area, possible steps to ensure data interoperability between government agencies, the integration of information systems, and improving data quality.
The meeting was held within the framework of the "Strengthening" project Migration data in Armenia: facilitating progress towards achieving the goals of the Global Compact for Migration, implemented by IOM and funded by the IOM Development Fund.
