ArmInfo.  According to forecasts from the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the  Armenian Nuclear Power Plant's profits in 2026 will be 12.7 billion  drams.  Only God knows what these calculations are based on.  David  Ghazinyan, former General Director of Electric Networks of Armenia  CJSC, publicly challenged the financial projections  released by the  PSRC, during  at a press conference on January 9.

ArmInfo.  The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of  Armenia is seeking a candidate for the position of Acting General  Director of the newly established CJSC "Construction of a New Nuclear  Power Plant."

ArmInfo.  Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev has praised the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant as the best nuclear project of the Soviet Union, having survived a major  earthquake, As reported by Interfax, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail  Mishustin and the heads of official delegations participating in the  International Conference on Cooperation in Science and Technology  toured the Atom Museum exhibit at VDNKh in Moscow on December 12.  During the presentation, Likhachev discussed Rosatom's cooperation  with other countries, highlighting the history of the Armenian  Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) and its VVER-440 seismic-resistant  reactors. It survived the Spitak earthquake in 1988 and was shut  down. However, the second power unit was subsequently restored and  restarted.

ArmInfo.  More attention will be paid to the development of solar power in Armenia,  as stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press  briefing with reporters  in Hamburg.

ArmInfo. From November 23 to 30, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) was scheduled to undergo mid-scheduled maintenance on its turbogenerators, which involved  sequential shutdowns. The maintenance was intended to reduce the load  on the power unit to 215 MW, the plant's press service reported.

Artur Avetisyan, energy security expert, PhD in engineering  and Associate Professor, expressed this viewpoint in an interview  with an ArmInfo correspondent, when commenting on the Armenia-US MoU  on energy cooperation signed on August 8, as well as yesterday's  Pashinyan-Putin meeting at the World Atomic Week forum in Moscow.

ArmInfo.Armenia intends to further develop close cooperation with the IAEA and partner countries to determine the optimal solution for replacing the  existing power unit, taking into account economic efficiency, safety,  and the specific characteristics and nature of the country's energy  system, as stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in his  address at the Global Atomic Forum in Moscow on September 25.

ArmInfo. A meeting chaired by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was held to discuss strategic development directions for Armenia's energy sector, the RA government press service reported.

ArmInfo.  "In the last seven years, we have built two nuclear power plants, without any fuss or fanfare. We haven't open them, haven't cut the ribbon, haven't  given a speech, haven't even recorded it. We have made decisions in  this hall and built two nuclear power plants.  And this is a great  achievement that is not talked about," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  stated at a Cabinet meeting on September 18, after Minister of  Territorial Administration and Infrastructure (MTAI) David Khudatyan  presented data on the share of solar power generation in Armenia.

ArmInfo. In 2025, the Armenian NPP will receive the loan funds of 1 billion 35 million drams that it did not receive in 2024. Thus, the budget loan for the implementation  of the program for the repeated extension of the NPP's service life  this year will amount to slightly more than 13.5 billion drams. The  corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on September  4.

ArmInfo.  Turkey and Great Britain have coordinatedly stepped up information attacks against the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) located in Metsamor. This was written about by energy security expert Vahe Davtyan in his Telegram channel.

ArmInfo.The tariff for electricity generated by the new nuclear power plant, which the Armenian authorities intend to build, will be higher than that of the existing nuclear power plant. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia Mesrop  Mesropyan in an interview with an ArmInfo correspondent.

ArmInfo. As part of the second stage of the Armenian NPP modernization (scheduled until 2026),  Rosatom Service delivered 1,500 tons of new equipment to the station, as noted in a statement by the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
