ArmInfo.  According to forecasts from the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the  Armenian Nuclear Power Plant's profits in 2026 will be 12.7 billion  drams.  Only God knows what these calculations are based on.  David  Ghazinyan, former General Director of Electric Networks of Armenia  CJSC, publicly challenged the financial projections  released by the  PSRC, during  at a press conference on January 9.

ArmInfo.  Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev has praised the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant as the best nuclear project of the Soviet Union, having survived a major  earthquake, As reported by Interfax, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail  Mishustin and the heads of official delegations participating in the  International Conference on Cooperation in Science and Technology  toured the Atom Museum exhibit at VDNKh in Moscow on December 12.  During the presentation, Likhachev discussed Rosatom's cooperation  with other countries, highlighting the history of the Armenian  Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) and its VVER-440 seismic-resistant  reactors. It survived the Spitak earthquake in 1988 and was shut  down. However, the second power unit was subsequently restored and  restarted.

The maintenance was intended to reduce the load  on the power unit to 215 MW, the plant's press service reported.

Armenian NPP to get AMD 1.035mln loan carried over from 2024

ArmInfo. In 2025, the Armenian NPP will receive the loan funds of 1 billion 35 million drams that it did not receive in 2024. Thus, the budget loan for the implementation  of the program for the repeated extension of the NPP's service life  this year will amount to slightly more than 13.5 billion drams. The  corresponding decision was made at a government meeting on September  4.
