ArmInfo.The deficit of the state budget of Armenia for 2025 should not exceed the volume of  capital expenditures. This was stated by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia Vahe Hovhannisyan on October 28 during the discussions on the draft state budget of the country for 2025.

ArmInfo. One of the main tasks of the Armenian government in 2025 will be to strengthen resilience and increase economic potential. This was stated by RA Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan on October 28 during the  discussions in the commissions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on the draft state budget for 2025.

The state budget of Armenia is a large family pocket of every citizen of the country.  This was stated by Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan at the hearings on the draft state budget of the Republic of Armenia in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on  October 28.

ArmInfo.The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, whose funds are managed by the Eurasian Development Bank, will provide Armenia with a loan of $100 million. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discussed the draft law on ratification of the relevant agreement with the EDB at a plenary session on October 23. 

ArmInfo. An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team, led by Iva Petrova, visited Yerevan from September 18 to October 1, 2024, and held further virtual discussions afterwards for the fourth review under the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) with Armenia. At the conclusion of the discussions, Ms. Petrova issued the following statement:

ArmInfo. In a word, the state budget of Armenia for 2025 is <super ambitious>. Moreover, this  applies to both expected revenues and expenses. This is the opinion of the head of the ACSES analytical center Haykaz Fanyan.

ArmInfo. In 2025, the budget of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia will be approximately 665 billion drams, or 110.7 billion drams more than in 2024. This is stated in the message to the draft state budget for next year.  According to the document, under conditions of ensuring GDP growth of 5.6%, 3.5% GDP deflator and average inflation of 3.6%, the state budget revenues of Armenia in 2025 will increase by 279.5 billion drams - to 2 trillion 873.1 billion drams (about $7.4 billion).

ArmInfo. On September 27,  RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received a delegation led by  Iva Petrova, the head of the International Monetary Fund mission in  Armenia. Mehdi Raissi, the IMF Resident Representative in Armenia,  was also present at the meeting.

ArmInfo.At the session on September 26, the RA Government approved the draft law "On the 2025  State Budget", which will be sent to the National Assembly of the Republic for approval in accordance with the established procedure.

ArmInfo.Economic activity in Armenia remains at a fairly high level. This was stated by the RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan on September 2 at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on financial and budgetary issues, presenting the execution of the state budget for January-June of this year. 

ArmInfo. On Aug. 23, 2024, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'BB-/B' long- and short-term foreign and  local currency sovereign credit ratings on Armenia. The outlook on the long-term ratings is stable.

ArmInfo. On August 13, a meeting was held led by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which a report on the implementation of the state budget for the first half of 2024 was presented.
