ArmInfo. In the consumer market of Armenia in January- November 2020, inflation was recorded at 0.3%, against deflationary 0.5% in the same period of 2019. This was provoked by an increase in tariffs for services by 1.4%, a rise in prices for non-food products by 1%, while prices for food products (including alcohol and cigarettes) fell by 0.9%. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in y-o-y terms (compared to January-November 2019), the consumer market recorded inflation of 1% (against inflationary 1.5% a year ago), which was facilitated by the same rise in prices of food and non-food products by 0.8% and an increase in tariffs for services by 1.3%. The average monthly rise in prices on the consumer market amounted to 0.03% in January- November 2020, against a 0.05% decline a year earlier. |

In the capital, consumer prices rose by 1.1% in October. In January-October 2017, deflation in 0.9% led to a decrease in the price of food products by 1.7%, a decrease in tariffs for services - by 1.1%, with a rise in the price of non-food products by 1.1%.The National Statistical Service of Armenia told ArmInfo that the average monthly decline in consumer prices in January-October 2017 was 0.1%, against a decline of 0.3% a year earlier.
