ArmInfo. Issues regarding the possibilities of the GRAWE company entering the Armenian insurance market were discussed during a meeting in Yerevan  between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and a delegation including Klaus Scheitegel, Chairman of the Board of the Austrian  insurance group GRAWE (Grazer Wechselseitige Versicherung AG), and Andreas Wimmer, Managing Director and Chairman of the Supervisory  Board of the C-Quadrat Investment Group.

ArmInfo.Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Edgar Zakaryan participated in the Kimberley Process  Plenary Ministerial meeting in Dubai, UAE, from  November 17 to 21.

ArmInfo.  On November 19, RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan participated in the 64th meeting of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative  (EITI) Council, which was held in Yerevan for the first time.  According to the government press service, the meeting was attended  by representatives from the executive body, civil society, mining  organizations, international partner organizations, the EITI  International Secretariat, and over 100 EITI member countries.

ArmInfo.  A meeting of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Council will be held in Yerevan. Preparations for the upcoming event  were discussed at a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran  Khachatryan.

ArmInfo.  The share of Armenian cognacs with violations found on the Russian market decreased from 90% in August 2024 to 80% in May 2025, as stated in a message from the International Anti-Counterfeiting Association.

ArmInfo. Almost the entire  flow of counterfeit and fake goods passes through Georgia in transit, as  noted  in a statement by the International Anti-Counterfeit Association. According to their estimates, around  60% of all counterfeit, low-quality goods from these countries pass through Georgia, including alcohol, clothing, footwear, dietary supplements, plant protection products and other consumer goods. To address this  issue, the Anti-Counterfeit Association is collaborating with the Georgian-Russian Business Association.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia proposes not to consider information about the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia's monetary reserves for each denomination,  the production technology of the Armenian dram and the features of  their protection as a state secret. The draft has been submitted for  public discussion on the unified portal of legal acts e-draft.am.

ArmInfo. Over the past five years, more than 46,000 violations in the field of intellectual  property have been identified in the EAEU, and over 60 million  counterfeit goods have been seized. Bakhyt Sultanov, the EEC Minister  in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, made this statement while  speaking at the plenary session of the Anti-Counterfeiting Forum.

ArmInfo. Armenia has appealed to the World Bank with a request to extend the "Armenia Extractive  Industries Transparency Initiative Support: Additional Financing" program. The corresponding draft decree of the RA President was approved at a government meeting on May 2.

ArmInfo. Azerbaijan launched a hybrid war against Armenia. Chairman of the Union of  Miners and Metallurgists of the Republic of Armenia, First Deputy General Director of Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine CJSC Vardan Jhanyan stated  on July 24 at a press conference.

ArmInfo. Daily tax losses of Artsakh due to the blockade of the Lachin (Berdzor) corridor, the only road connecting the republic with Armenia and the outside world, are estimated at 81 million drams or $204 thousand (395.9 drams per $), of which about 35 million drams are payments of mining enterprises. Vardan Aramyan, former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, international consultant on state finance management, said in response to ArmInfo's question, on March 29, presenting a report "On assessing the losses of the Artsakh economy due to the blockade", prepared by a group of economists commissioned by the Government of the Republic of Artsakh and former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan.

ArmInfo.Armenia makes significant progress in implementing the global standard for good governance in its mining sector. This is stated in the message of  USAID- Armenia on Facebook.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, specific processes are underway to disclose the names of real owners of mining enterprises. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on May 16 at a press conference dedicated to 100 facts about the new Armenia,   answering a question from journalists.  < We have not put off this  issue. The process is ongoing and will be completed. There is no  other alternative>, he stressed. In this regard, the Prime Minister  recalled legislative changes, the entry into force of which obliged  business entities to submit the names of real owners by February 20,  2020.

ArmInfo.The Armenian parliament at the meeting on April 17 in the second and final reading amended the law "On Energy".

ArmInfo. The monopoly, oligarchic norm of brandy production from the past still existing in Armenia needs to be abolished. A similar opinion was expressed to ArmInfo  by  the Chairman of the National Wine Center Avag Harutyunyan.

ArmInfo. At the March 4 meeting, with a reservation in the second and final reading, the  Armenian parliament voted against the amendments to the law "On  Energy".

ArmInfo.It is planned that the Transparency Initiative will be extended to the sphere of  Armenian energy. At a meeting on January 24, the country's parliament  continued discussions on amendments to the law "On Energy".
