Situation with Armenian cognacs  improved in Russia, but challenges  persist

ArmInfo. Almost the entire  flow of counterfeit and fake goods passes through Georgia in transit, as  noted  in a statement by the International Anti-Counterfeit Association. According to their estimates, around  60% of all counterfeit, low-quality goods from these countries pass through Georgia, including alcohol, clothing, footwear, dietary supplements, plant protection products and other consumer goods. To address this  issue, the Anti-Counterfeit Association is collaborating with the Georgian-Russian Business Association.

EEC Minister: Over the past five years, the EAEU has seized 60  million counterfeit goods

ArmInfo. Over the past five years, more than 46,000 violations in the field of intellectual  property have been identified in the EAEU, and over 60 million  counterfeit goods have been seized. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on May 16 at a press conference dedicated to 100 facts about the new Armenia,   answering a question from journalists.  < We have not put off this  issue. The process is ongoing and will be completed. There is no  other alternative>, he stressed. In this regard, the Prime Minister  recalled legislative changes, the entry into force of which obliged  business entities to submit the names of real owners by February 20,  2020.
