ArmInfo. The Ministry of Economy of Armenia discussed with business representatives and the expert community the possibilities of promoting exports from Armenia to Switzerland through the Swiss GSP system and the Registered Exporters System (REX). Rafael Gevorgyan,  Deputy Economy Minister of Armenia, expressed a similar opinion in an  interview with CivilNet.  "There was an opportunity to expand  production, to enter such trade networks in Russia, access to which  previously seemed impossible. There is already a reaction from our  manufacturers who are considering this and are negotiating,"  Gevorgyan said.

ArmInfo.The Ministry of Economy announced the launch of a program to assist the textile industry in Armenia. According to the press service of the Ministry,  the program is being implemented in Armenia with the financing of the  "Good Governance Fund" of the United Kingdom government, with the  support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development  (EBRD), in cooperation with the Business Assistance Office. The  program is aimed at the sustainable, inclusive development of the  textile industry in Armenia.

ArmInfo.From January 1, 2022, Armenia will cease to be a beneficiary of the EU's GSP + system of trade preferences. In this regard, various opinions were voiced  about what consequences await Armenian producers with the termination  of the GSP + regime.

ArmInfo.The EU GSP+ will not be available to Armenian exporters from January 1, 2022. EU's GSP removes import duties from products coming into the EU market from  vulnerable developing countries. This helps developing countries to  alleviate poverty and create jobs based on international values and  principles, including labour and human rights.

ArmInfo. The third meeting of the Armenia-EU Partnership Committee in Trade Configuration  took place online today.

Starting from 2021, the EU's Generalised scheme of preferences (GSP+) for duty-free delivery of more than 6 thousand commodity items will be terminated  for Armenian exporters, since Armenia is now in a group of  middle-income countries. In this connection, the Deputy Minister of  Economy of the Republic of Armenia Avag Avanesyan, on April 10 during  the meeting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian  Integration, noted that the termination of the regime will primarily  affect the textile industry of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Armenia intends to increase wine export volumes in the Canadian market. Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan announced this on April 7 during a meeting of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.
