Armenian Finance Minister: Eurobonds worth a total of $2 billion  remain in circulation

ArmInfo. Three issues of Armenian Eurobonds, totaling $2 billion, are currently in  circulation. This was announced by RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan on September 22 at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on financial, credit, and budgetary issues.

ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities raised a very expensive external debt at the beginning of the year to curb inflation and devaluation of the Armenian dram  instead of investing in the economy. On December 6, MP from the  opposition "Hayastan" faction Artur Khachatryan stated this in the  National Assembly, referring to the main macroeconomic indicators  laid down in the draft state budget of the republic for 2022.

Armenia considers the possibility of a new emission of Eurobonds  already in 2024

ArmInfo.In 2024, Armenia plans to implement the next and fifth tranche of Eurobonds on the international market. "The funds received from the emission of  Eurobonds will be used to buy back bonds of 2025 maturity," says the  Strategic Program for Government Debt Management for 2022-2024,  approved by the decision of the RA government on July 12, 2021.

The price of new tranches of Armenian Eurobonds continues to grow  rapidly

ArmInfo. The price of new tranches of Armenian sovereign Eurobonds continues to grow rapidly. Today, Armenia has placed among international investors the 4th issue  of 10-year debt securities in the amount of $ 750 million. The  established annual yield of the 4th issue bonds was lower than the  yield of the 3rd issue - 3.875% versus 4.625%.

Armenia fully fulfills obligations on repaying Eurobonds in the  amount of $ 700 million

ArmInfo. Armenia has fully redeemed the debut issue of Eurobonds in the amount of $ 700 million,  the issue of which took place in September 2013 on the international  capital market. According to the RA Ministry of Finance, after the  redemption in 2015 and 2019 from this issue, respectively, $ 199.9  million and $ 402.4 million, bonds in the amount of $ 97.7 million  remained in circulation.
