ArmInfo.In general, Armenia has already achieved what it was striving for within the framework of the  reform to liberalize the energy market. This was stated by the Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia Mesrop Mesropyan in an interview with journalists  on March 10.

The closure of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will directly benefit Armenia's energy policy, according to political scientist Vahe Davtyan.  "It is obvious that the closure of USAID  will inevitably lead to a decrease in the dynamics of liberalization of Armenia's energy policy. And I believe this is a positive development," the expert noted.

ArmInfo. Funded by USAID, Ameria Management Advisory, Modex Consulting and international expert Andreas Klassen have developed Armenia's export strategic program, where molybdenum has been included in the list of leading products, as stated by Modex.  According to the source, in the coming years, separate actions are expected that will allow Armenia to strengthen its position on the "world map" of molybdenum producers. In modern industry, molybdenum is often used in alloys, due to its physicochemical properties ensuring the durability and resistance of equipment or individual parts in various corrosive environments, due to which such alloys are widely used in the production of missiles, chemical and pharmaceutical industry equipment, and  complex architectural structures.

The event featured USAID Administrator Samantha Power, alongside RA Ambassador to the U.S.  Lilit Makunts.

ArmInfo. Armenia intends to develop business tourism (MICE tourism). To further this goal, a  regional tourism forum was held in Dilijan, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Arman Khojoyan.  In his speech, he noted that over the past two decades, tourism has become one of  the key areas of the Armenian economy, stimulating economic growth, creating new jobs and raising the standard of living of in our communities.

ArmInfo.The U.S. Development International Finance Corporation (DFC) today announced a commitment for a $50 million loan to ACBA Bank aimed at expanding financing for small businesses in Armenia, fostering economic growth and empowering entrepreneurship. According to the US Embassy in  Armenia, the Bank will direct at least 50% of the DFC funds to  finance women-owned and women-led businesses, aiming to create more  inclusive economic opportunities.

ArmInfo. The US Government will increase the amount of grant assistance to Armenia by $130  million, bringing it to $250 million. At the meeting on September 26, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the number one amendment to the grant agreement, signed on September 10, 2024.

In New York, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took part in an open discussion on "The Results of Democracy" organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). As reported by  the press service of the RA government, the event was attended by leaders of various countries, government representatives and international organizations.

ArmInfo.USAID funding under the grant agreement on cooperation with Armenia will be doubled -  from $120 million to $250 million, and the areas of joint projects will be expanded.

ArmInfo. The World Food Program (WFP) Armenia office hosted a delegation from the United States  Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance, who arrived in Yerevan on a two-day visit to assess the support provided to refugee families from Artsakh.
