According to analysts, NPL growth, which barely slowed from 39% to 32% year-on-year by mid-year, is nevertheless increasingly weighing on profits, which are "melting" due to write-offs.

Central Bank of Armenia: Export market challenges raise income  decline risks for Armenia`s economy

By comparison, growth during the same period in 2025 was  a more modest 20.7% (or $693.2 million), bringing reserves to $4.047  billion.
