Arminfo.  On September 11, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia Tatev Aslanyan received a delegation headed by Dr. Sonja Kurtz, Director of the GIZ Office in Armenia, and Ivan Zusner, Programme Officer at the EU Delegation.

ArmInfo. The Armenian government will subsidize interest rates on loans attracted by business entities to purchase grapes.  The decision was made at the government meeting on September 11.

ArmInfo. The Canine Center of the Department for Combating Contraband of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) and the Canine Unit of the customs authorities of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum <On the exchange of experience and cooperation in the canine sector between the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan>.

Arminfo. The Armenian government will allocate 1.09 billion drams for the repair and construction of roads leading to schools in the republic. The relevant decision was adopted at a Cabinet meeting on September 11.

ArmInfo. AMD 93.5 million will be allocated from the government’s Reserve Fund to cover the expenses of high-ranking representatives of 74 least developed and small island developing states who will arrive in Yerevan to participate in COP-17.  The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting on September 11.

Arminfo. The European Investment Bank will assist Armenia in preparing a road safety and digitalization program.  At its meeting on September 11, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the signing of the relevant agreement between the EIB and the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.

Arminfo.  The prospects for developing trade and economic ties with Iraqi Kurdistan and promoting exports from Armenia to Iraq, including Iraqi Kurdistan, were discussed at a meeting in Erbil between Levon Petrosyan, Head of the Middle East and Africa Department of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and Safin Dizai, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of Iraqi Kurdistan.

On September 10, RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Asatur Vardanyan received a delegation led by Remigiusz Paszkiewicz, Director of the Polish state-owned mining company KGHM. Also present at the meeting were Gohar Abajyan, Director of the Investment Support Center Foundation, and representatives of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. ArmInfo. Work on the Trump Route Project (TRIPP), according to the latest information, is scheduled to begin in the first months of 2027, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, according to Interfax.

At its meeting on September 9, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission amended the Uniform Quarantine Phytosanitary Requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union and the List of Quarantine Products Subject to Quarantine Phytosanitary Control (Supervision) at the Customs Border and Customs Territory of the EAEU. This was reported by the EEC press service. Specifically, the amendments to the first document eliminate requirements for fresh or chilled tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants to be free of the Pepino mosaic virus. Special quarantine phytosanitary requirements for the absence of the PepMV virus in seed and planting material of susceptible crops remain in place. The decision adopted by the EEC Council reduces the administrative burden on economic participants and improves the conditions for the production and trade of these vegetables.

ArmInfo. On September 10, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with representatives of companies producing rebar. Deputy Minister Tigran Gasparyan also participated in the meeting, the Ministry of Economy press service reported. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to increase production volumes and productivity of rebar, steps aimed at improving the competitive environment in the industry, customs duties, as well as a number of issues related to the development of local production and increasing market efficiency.

ArmInfo. In the first half of 2026, Armenia accelerated the annual decline in gold exports from 82% to 85.1%, exporting 1.587 thousand kg. According to data from the Customs Service of the Republic of Armenia, the customs value decreased by 80% to $203.7 million.

ArmInfo. Armenia reduced its diamond exports by 62.2% in the first half of 2026 (compared with an almost twofold decline a year earlier) to 73.7 thousand carats.
