ArmInfo.02 June 2021– The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB)  is providing a five-year EUR 23 million loan to Ameriabank to expand access to finance for Armenian small and medium-sized enterprises  (SMEs).

ArmInfo.In a month, the petrochemical plant in the Nati district of the city of Yeghvard, Kotayk region, will start producing machine oil and bitumen. "The  construction of the plant was completed two years ago, but due to a  number of artificially created problems, we could not start  production in any way," General Director of "Armoil" CJSC Alfred  Abedi said in an interview with ArmInfo.

ArmInfo.In the loan portfolio of the banking system of Armenia, the share of non-performing loans in the first quarter of 2021 reached 7.1%. The Chairman of the Central  Bank of the Republic of Armenia Martin Galstyan stated this at a  press conference on May 4, noting that in comparison with the  previous quarter, an increase in non-performing loans was recorded.

This forecast was made by the Chairman of  the Union of Banks of Armenia, Chairman of the Board of Ardshinbank Artak Ananyan,  noting that not only the banking system as a whole, but also each  bank individually, has a sufficient capital buffer to ensure  stability.

In February 2021, 1,800 agreements between farmers and insurance companies were concluded in Armenia within the framework of the agricultural  insurance program, while for the whole of 2020 their number was  1,500, Head of the Department for Development of Agricultural  Programs of the RA Ministry of Economy Ira Panosyan said.
