ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan and European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President Vazil Hudak signed a grant agreement worth 2 million euros from the Eastern European Partnership for Energy Efficiency and the Environment (December 1) within the framework of the "Solid Household Waste of Yerevan" program E5P).

ArmInfo. The European Investment Bank (EIB) co-finances the energy saving project. Taron Margaryan, the head of the capital's administration, and Vazil Hudak, the EIB's vice-president, signed the corresponding agreement.

ArmInfo. In the next 10  years, $ 872 million will be invested in the modernization of the  grid facilities of CJSC "Electric Networks of Armenia", part of the  Russian Tashir Group. This was announced by the Vice-President of the  Tashir Group of Companies, Directors of "Electric Networks of  Armenia" CJSC Karen Darbinyan.

ArmInfo. The Public Services  Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia on November 15 approved the  investment program of "Electric Networks of Armenia" CJSC (ESA) for  the period of 2018-2027. and agreed to clarify for 2017-2020 on the  company's investment program for 2016-2020.

ArmInfo. The Tashir Group of Companies, the Investors Club of Armenia and international financial institutions will invest about $ 1 billion in the energy sector of Armenia in the next few years, the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan participated in the presentation of the investment program.

ArmInfo. The Eurasian  Development Bank is ready to provide CJSC "Electric Networks of  Armenia" (ENA) with $ 100 million for development and modernization  of the country's energy infrastructure. The agreement on intentions  was signed on October 31 on the margins of the XII International  Conference "Eurasian Integration", held under the auspices of the  EDB, between the EDB, JSC "Energy Networks of Armenia" and its  shareholder the Russian Group of Companies "Tashir", the special  correspondent of ArmInfo informs.

ArmInfo. In 2018, the construction of a border bridge between Armenia and Georgia will continue. The Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia Vahan Martirosyan stated at the hearings in the parliamentary commissions on the draft state budget of Armenia in 2018.

ArmInfo. The "Investors' Club of  Armenia" Foundation implements two programs in the country for a  total of $ 250 million, Minister of Economic Development and  Investments of Armenia Suren Karayan told in a press conference on  October 18. As explained by the minister, we are talking about the  construction of HPP "Shnokh" and the enterprise for processing solid  waste. Details of the second project the minister refrained from  voicing.

ArmInfo. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provided 2 loans to ARARATBANK in national currency, the total amount of which is equivalent to $ 10 million. The signing of the respective loan agreement between ARARATBANK and EBRD took place on September 4. The program, in addition to funding, also provides for the final beneficiaries technical support, counseling, assistance in risk management and professional retraining of women entrepreneurs.  Executive Director of ARARATBANK Ashot Osipyan noted that loans will be provided at an interest rate of 11% per annum with a maturity of up to 5 years. These funds, he said, will allow the bank to meet the growing demand for financing from the side of women entrepreneurs and representatives of micro, small and medium-sized businesses that have developed activities in rural areas.

ArmInfo. The project of development of mechanisms of public- private partnership was discussed during the meeting held on August 21 in the government of Armenia.  The project was developed by experts of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EDB) in cooperation with the Center for Strategic Initiatives of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Eurasian Development  Bank (EDB) approved in the second quarter of 2017 for Armenia one  investment-project loan (IPL) for $ 20 million. One more loan for $ 4  million was approved for the country by the Black Sea Trade and  Development Bank (BSTDB). This is stated in the "Review of investment  activity of international development banks" published today. II  quarter of 2017>, prepared by the Office of Strategic and Industry  Analysis of the Eurasian Development Bank. In the share ratio,  Armenia accounted for 2% of the total amount allocated by the  international development banks for investment-project financing  (IPF).

ArmInfo. The Armenian government has allowed Tashir Capital CJSC, to lay shares of ZAO Electric Networks of Armenia for receiving a large loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The decision on this was approved at a government meeting on July 27. According to the draft decision of the executive body published on the website of the Armenian government, 69.9999594% will be put on bail (172496) of ESA shares.

Geologists discovered the gold-bearing deposit yet in 2006. During the following ten years, they had studied the possibilities, pros and cons of starting operation activities.In 2014, the Government of Armenia granted Mining Right to Lydian Armenia CJSC. In 2015, the Project’s environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) was approved. Despite that comprehensive,almost 6,000-page document, the company is constantly facing harsh criticism by environmental organizations who do not believe and some do not want to believe in successful implementation of Lydian’s biodiversity conservation measures.In an interview with ArmInfo, Armen Stepanyan, Lydian Armenia Sustainability Director speaks about possible environmental impacts of mine operation and mitigation measures planned. 

ArmInfo. Tashir Capital JSC, which owns 100% of the shares of Electric Networks of Armenia , intends to attract loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) against the shares of Electric Networks of Armenia. As expected, on July 27 RA government will approve this deal during  its next meeting.
